Fried chicken wings with Malay, Indian and Chinese inspired spices
These delicious fried chicken dish is pure heavenly! It is super easy to whip up, suitable for an entree or main meal, accompanied with stir fried Chinese vegetables and steamed jasmine rice.
Ingredients
- 10 pieces of chicken wings (halved) or a mixture of other chicken pieces and wings
- 3 teaspoons of corn flour
- Half teaspoon of rice flour
- A splash of soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon of Malaysian curry powder
- 2 tablespoon of Chinese rice wine
- Cracked pepper and sea salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of five spice powder
- Pinch of grounded cumin
- Pinch of garam masala
- Pinch of paprika
- Some vegetable oil to silken the mixture
Method
1. Marinate chicken pieces with all the ingredients, some cracked pepper and sea salt. Set aside.
2. Heat some canola or vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. Fry the marinated chicken pieces until golden brown.
3. Serve with some lemon wedges and chopped spring onions.
